When I compared Denman’s Tangle Tamer and Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Detangler I spoke about how knotty my hair has become. I’m not really sure why. I spoke to a hairdresser and they shrugged and said my hair was healthy but sometimes the texture changes.
Anyway, I know that having a good brush isn’t the be-all-and-end-all of tackling knotty hair. Treating it and using a good conditioner helps make my hair easier to detangle.
Aussie Moisture Recharge Leave-In Hair Conditioner has ingredients such as Australian Macadamia Nut Oil to nourish hair and reduce frizz. It’s also enriched with potent antioxidants and shields the strands against harmful environmental aggressors, such as UV rays and pollution, which can dry out and damage the hair.

I usually spray this leave-in conditioner on damp hair after showering. I’ve found the key to success with leave in conditioner is working out how much to use. Too much and your hair feels immediately weighed down and greasy. Too little and it has no effect whatsoever. I think guidance on how much to use is really subjective, it totally depends on your hair texture, how thick it is, density etc.
I use about four sprays on the tips of my hair. It’s got a light, sweet, fruity scent but I don’t think it lingers for very long. I’m not too concerned about scent, as long as it’s not repulsive I’ll use most things. And I’m not looking for a hair perfume so it doesn’t bother me that the scent disperses quickly.
Does the Aussie Moisture Recharge Leave-In Conditioner work?

I guess the all important thing is whether this leave-in conditioner works, and I 100% think it does. After using it my hair is so much easier to detangle. Although I still have knots they’re so much easier to tackle with a hairbrush. I spend less than half the time I used to brushing my hair.
My hair also looks a lot shinier. I never really thought I had overly dry hair but it’s definitely looking more hydrated now. It’s also looking noticeably less frizzy which is an issue I’ve had with my hair since forever.
At £5 for 250ml (and can often be found on offer), I think it’s great value. Considering how little I need to use to get good results, I can see this last me a long time. It’s also ridiculously easy to find, available in most drug stores, high streets and online.
Do you use a leave-in conditioner?
