Affordable Heroes – e.l.f H2o Proof Eyeliner Pen Review

I love wearing black liquid eyeliner on a night out. I was a Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner fan for a long time but prices here have shot up and I wanted something a little more purse friendly. Enter e.l.f’s H2o Proof Eyeliner Pen. At £8 this is less than half price of the Stila alternative.

The H2o Proof Eyeliner Pen has a felt tip pen like applicator. I find pen applicators the easiest to use but the tip of this one is quite thick so if you want a thinner line you have to be quite precise. It goes on smoothly though, gliding along my upper lash line. It has excellent colour payoff and applies evenly. The H2o Proof Eyeliner Pen dries quickly and has a matte finish which is my personal preference.

One of the most important factors for me with make up of any kind really is that it is smudge proof. The H2o Proof Eyeliner Pen stays put all day and doesn’t smudge or fade over time. This is not budging until you take it off with a cleanser at the end of the day.

I’m really impressed with the H2o Proof Eyeliner Pen and I think it’s an absolute bargain for the price. It has great colour payoff, applies smoothly and lasts all day. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced eyeliner that works well, then e.l.f’s H2o Proof Eyeliner Pen could be for you. I’d only not recommend this if you need a really fine tip to draw thin lines or are looking for an eyeliner with a glossy finish.
