Benefit High Beam Liquid Highlighter Review

I think spring is definitely the time for glowy skin right?

Benefit High Beam is a pearlescent pink liquid highlighter. You can wear it under make up, mixed with foundation, over make up or alone on bare skin. It gives a natural illumination look rather than anything dramatic.

I love the simple but effective packaging. The doe foot applicator makes it easy to dab the product onto skin and the twist lid secures the product. The bottle is clear glass so you can easily see how much product you have left. I usually apply it to my cheekbones and gently pat it in using my ring finger. The pink tone of the highlighter naturally blends into skin, and the subtle shimmer gives a natural glow. I do think this might be one for those with cooler and fairer skin tones due to its pink colour. Although the only way to know if it’s for you is to try it.

I usually apply Benefit High Beam over make up and I don’t find it smudges any of my foundation. It also seems to set and last well, even when I have slightly oilier skin during the warmer months. It gives subtle illumination which I really enjoy in the warmer months when I want dewy skin.

At £22 for 6ml this highlighter definitely isn’t the cheapest, but it’s usually on offer and as you need such a small amount, it will last for a lifetime. NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam is often compared to Benefit High Beam and named a cheaper dupe, but is more difficult to find in store.
