Bumble and bumble are one of those brands I discovered about 7 years ago, when all the bloggers were raving about their shampoos.
To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever really used a high-end shampoo that I have found much better than the ones I pick up in Tesco. As long as it gets rid of my post gym sweat head, I am ok.
Bumble and bumble’s styling products though, they’re something else. Especially the Bumble and bumble Bb. Texture Creme.
The Bumble and bumble Texture Creme comes in a squeezy tube and has a kind of gummy texture. Despite the texture, it’s not at all sticky once applied and it doesn’t weigh down hair. I use a pea-sized amount, and for the record I have lots of hair with medium thickness strands. I find this amount is perfect, as over-use can result in that crunchy texture – lovely.
The directions say to use this on wet hair, but I find whenever I apply products to wet hair it doesn’t really do anything. Maybe my hair is too heavy and weighs down any product promising some sort of uplift, I dunno.
I apply this to dry hair and it gives a perfectly “undone” sort of look, and adds a bit of grit to my hair. I spritz a bit of sea salt spray after too, to give that sort of beachy ‘I just rolled out of bed’ look. It’s perfect for those who find after washing their hair it is too silky and unable to hold any sort of style.
At £23 the Bumble and bumble Bb. Texture Creme is pricey. I’m not going to lie. And if there was a high street version that did the same thing I’d be all over it. But to be honest, I’ve done so much research and I haven’t seen anything really comparable that works as well. So this is something I’m willing to splash out on. Also as I use just a small amount every time, a tube lasts me almost a year.
