I bought Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse a few years ago but it now retails for £52 for 30ml. I think that’s quite reasonable for a designer brand, most other brands price their fragrances around the same mark.
I bought Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse in the summer, and I definitely think it is more of a spring / summer fragrance. It’s a light floral and on me the honeysuckle really comes out. The amber wood and soft musk really prevent it from being too sweet and cloying though, and add a new woody depth to the scent.
On me it lasts really well. If I spray it onto my clothes I can smell it all day. If I pick up the same top the next day, the scent is still there. It doesn’t project much so you won’t be offending anyone’s senses in the lift – it’s definitely one that only you and those closest to you can detect.
Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse is easy to spritz on without thinking. It’s an inoffensive fragrance that reminds me of a warm summer’s afternoon.
