Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub – £6.50 25g

I picked up the Bubblegum Lip Scrub by Lush a little while ago now. I find these sorts of products quite handy for winter when I want to wear dark lipstick but my lips are sometimes flakey.

The Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub promises to prep your lips to ensure lipstick glides on and stays put. It’s made of mainly caster sugar, which acts as a gentle exfoliant and jooba oil which helps hydrate the lips. It’s got a sweet scent and definitely smells like bubblegum.

Afterwards you’ve finished polishing your lips you can lick off the excess. I tend to just wash it off though as there’s all dead skin in there as well. I usually use this in the shower as I find it can be a little messy.

You only need to use a little bit to exfoliate your lips, but at £6.50 I can’t help thinking it is a little expensive. I’m sure that the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub could be recreated at home with some sugar mixed with oil. That said, it’d make a good Christmas stocking filler and it’s a good idea if you are away from home and cannot easily start mixing huge bowls of sugar and oil.

The Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub is not tested on animals or made from any ingredients which have been tested on animals. It’s good for anyone who is conscious about using cruelty-free products.

Have you ever tried the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub? I’ve also reviewed the Barry M Lip Scrub in Watermelon if you want a comparison!

  • It sounds great! I've tried a few things from Lush but not the lip scrub, I should look into it!

Hope that you had a great weekend! We had our annual family photo with Santa for our Christmas cards on Saturday and then a playdate in the park on Sunday :)
