I picked up the Nuxe Sweet Lemon Lip Balm last year and it actually made my 2024 favourite products list.
The Nuxe Sweet Lemon Lip Balm comes in a weighty glass pot with a little screw on lid. It feels sturdy in the hand and I think the packaging really complements the product. The balm itself is thick and has a slightly waxy non-greasy texture, and a sweet, unintrusive, lemon scent.
This lip balm’s formulation is approved by The Vegan Society and contains 100% organic sunflower oil. Sunflower oil is known for its moisturising properties as it is a source of linoleic acid and Vitamin E. Linoleic acid strengthens the skin’s barrier function to prevent moisture loss, and Vitamin E prevents against environmental factors.
As it has a such a thick texture, I usually apply the Sweet Lemon Lip Balm overnight and when I wake up I have perfectly soft and moisturised lips. You can use this throughout the day but it’s quite a heavy formulation so you will always be conscious of it. On the plus side, it does stay on the lips and you won’t have to be constantly reapplying it.
At £14 for 15ml of product, the Nuxe Sweet Lemon Lip Balm isn’t cheap. I would 100% recommend it though if you want an intensive lip treatment as it works really well.
