I’ve been using Pai’s Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil for a few months now, and I usually apply it before bedtime after cleansing with my Foreo Luna Mini 2. Here’s my experience with the oil.
What are the benefits of using rosehip oil?
I picked up Pai’s Rosehip Oil because it seems like a good all-rounder. Rosehip oil is a cold-pressed oil that comes from the seed of a roseplant. It has a multitude of benefits for the skin, such as brightening, moisturising, improving signs of ageing, reducing pigmentation and treating acne.
Pai’s version of the oil comes in a 30ml glass bottle with a pipette for dispensing the product, and costs £29.
Rosehip oils sound like the ultimate wonder ingredient, but of course they’re not all created equally. Pai claims their rosehip oil uses the seed and fruit to deliver a better level of regenerative omegas and antioxidants.
Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil – my thoughts
The glass bottle comes with a pipette which is handy as you only need to use a few drops. Pai recommends using 2-3 drops and applying to damp skin after cleansing, and I agree this is more than sufficient. I recommend using before bedtime as it’s high in carotenoids and leaves an orange pigment (it looks on the skin how it does in the bottle). While it does not feel greasy, it does feel like you have applied a facial oil, and takes a good few hours to sink in. It does have a bit of a scent to it, almost like a herbal nut or something. It does fade after a while but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to smells.
In the mornings I notice my skin is noticeably softer, smoother and brighter. I actually really enjoy using this as it’s a product that can do several different things. I just apply a few drops overnight and in the morning voila, soft, supple skin! It feels like you’re doing something good for your skin even when you’re short on time.
£29 for 30ml of product might seem like a big initial investment, I think a bottle will last a long time. I’ve barely made a dent in mine and I’ve used it 3-4 times a week for the past few months. It’s also on offer quite a lot on Lookfantastic and you can also buy a smaller version to test. It’s a product I recommend unless the feeling of facial oil is a sensory issue, you’re worried about staining, or applying an oil overnight doesn’t work for your schedule.
Pai is a vegan and cruelty free brand. This product is meant to be suitable for all skin types, and non-irritating for sensitive skin types.
