Revolution Skincare Rosehip Seed Essence Spray Review

I’ve been after a hydrating facial spray for ages now. I’ve also heard a lot about rosehip oil and its moisturising qualities, so I thought I’d pick up the Revolution Rosehip Seed Essence Spray.

The Revolution Rosehip Seed Essence Spray comes in a 100ml plastic bottle and retails for £6. If you want to save that extra penny, it’s listed as £5.99 on the Superdrug website. It’s a complete bargain really, especially considering the only other facial mist I’ve used is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. You can buy the spray from Boots, Superdrug and it’s even listed on ASOS, so it’s basically stocked everywhere.

Product description from the Revolution website:

Thirsty? Let your skin drink up our Rosehip Essence Spray – one of five new facial mists, each specially formulated with its own active ingredients to deliver targeted results in just one spritz.

The Rosehip Regenerating Essence Spray is infused with rosehip and citrus oil extracts helping to condition the skin, keep it hydrated and enforce antimicrobial properties.

Revolution Rosehip Regenerating Essence Spray – My Thoughts

I apply this as instructed on the Revolution website, by shaking the bottle well and holding it about 20cm away from my face. Although who’s measuring?

The Rosehip Regenerating Essence Spray has a sort of citrus scent which I think is mostly lemon. It’s quite pleasant and doesn’t linger, but it is quite strong so this might not be for people with a sensitive nose. It soaks into the skin quickly though and leaves no discernible residue.

I’ve been using the Revolution Rosehip Essence Spray for a little over a month now and it’s perked my skin up and left it looking a little brighter. My favourite thing about it though is its moisturising qualities. I spray it on in the morning before doing my make up and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and nourished. The effects are long lasting because my skin still feels soft at the end of the day.

I’m actually more impressed than I thought I would be to be honest. I’ve not used many Revolution products and for £6 I was sceptical about it having much of an impact on my skin. But it leaves it so soft and it’s looking noticeably brighter. I’m impressed. It’s also vegan and cruelty free. All Revolution products are cruelty free and 76% are vegan, so as a brand they get a double thumbs up from me.

I’d definitely recommend the Rosehip Regenerating Essence Spray to anyone who wants to perk up their skin and needs a bit of hydration. For £6 it’s an absolute steal. The only thing I’d say is that it has lemon oil which although has anti-oxidant benefits, can aggravate those with sensitive skin.
