Stella McCartney Stella Eau De Parfum 30ml – £46
I’ve had Stella by Stella McCartney for a while now. It’s one of my every day perfumes that I usually wear during the day time for the office. It’s quite a light fragrance I think, it definitely lasts a long time on clothes / the skin but it doesn’t project so much so I can’t see it offending any noses if you’re stuck in the lift with some colleagues.
It’s a rose-based scent but the inclusion of citrus notes keeps it from being too sweet and cloying and the amber adds some warmth. I find some rose scents can be a bit older and soapy, but this manages to be quite a young scent – definitely a twist on the typical rose perfumes you get.
The glass Stella McCartney’s Stella is housed in is ethically sourced, as are all the ingredients. It’s definitely one for the eco-conscious, or as a gift for friends who want to be environmentally friendly.
According to experts the notes are:
Top notes: Mandarin, Rose, Peony
Heart notes: Rose absolute
Base notes: Woody ambers
It’s definitely an option for someone who likes floral scents which are not so sweet.
