The Best Nude Lipsticks for Fair Skin

I think I may have just stumbled across the best nude lipsticks for fair skin. Because choosing a nude lipstick is hard, am I right ladies (and gentlemen)?

I find having fair skin, many pull too dark on me and just look like a rosy lipstick. Peachy ones just look kind of “off” on me, some have too much brown in them and some are so light they almost match my skin tone. I want a pink which isn’t too bright, that has just a hint of brown in there to keep it neutral and muted, and is comfortable to wear. It’s so difficult though, I swear I must have spent so much money finding the perfect nude.

Well after much blood, sweat and tears (ok, no blood or tears, but nervous sweat), here are my recommendations for the best nude lipsticks for fair skin.

The Best Nude Lipsticks For Fair Skin – My Choices

NARS ROSECLIFF SATIN LIPSTICK – £23

I’ve not heard much about NARS Rosecliff. I admit the price put me off but I read somewhere that Emma Stone wore it to the Golden Globe awards. She’s a fair-skinned beauty and I thought if it looked like the perfect nude on her, maybe it would work for me too. I rushed down to my local SpaceNK store to test it out on my lunch break and hey presto, it was perfect. It’s a warm pink that has enough of a hint of brown to keep it firmly in the “nude” category. It sits well on the lips and has a creamy texture. No fear though – this one’s not for sliding, it stays in place perfectly. The only downside is the packaging, you’d think for the price NARS would have invented packaging that looks sleek but does not get super mucky every time you put it in your handbag.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY – PILLOW TALK £24

Ok, I am firmly on the bandwagon with this one. Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk lipstick has a cult following and I am truly one of the gang. This pulls ever so slightly pinker than NARS Rosecliff, but to be honest it’s such a minute difference. Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk has a matte finish but it’s comfortable and doesn’t dry your lips out. Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk is a fail safe option for fair-skinned beauties looking to try a nude, high end lipstick.

NARS ROSECLIFF & CHARLOTTE TILBURY PILLOW TALK SWATCH

I’m so sorry for the photo quality here. It’s really difficult to get your arm in focus using just one hand! Here is a swatch of both Chalotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk and NARS Rosecliff. Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk is at the top, and as you can see from the swatch, it’s ever so slightly pinker. NARS Rosecliff is underneath and is just a tad lighter and browner.

Just in case you haven’t grown tired of seeing my pale freckly arms. Here’s another swatch. Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk is on the right, and NARS Rosecliff is on the left. They are different by just a whisker!
