I have started using The INKEY List’s Hyaluronic Acid Cleaner during the colder months, as it claims to offer 48 hours of hydration.
The cleanser is a blend of 1% hyaluronic acid, 1% inulin and 2% betaine in a gel like formula. It promises to plump cells with moisture, quench the skin’s thirst and make it look more radiant. The Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser is gentle and can be used for both a day time and night time cleanse. It comes in a 150ml bottle and retails at £12, but you can often find it on special offer.
The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser – my thoughts
First of all, I like the bottle it comes in – it’s very functional. I much prefer these types of containers for cleansers and other skincare products, compared to pots. Upon dispensing the product and applying it to my face, I found it foams slightly but not overly so.
I usually pair it with my Foreo Luna Mini 2 at the end of the day while taking off the day’s make up. While it does leave my skin feeling nourished and definitely does not strip my skin, it doesn’t do a good job of taking off my make up. It still feels like there is leftover foundation on my skin – and that’s after using it along with an exfoliating tool!
I definitely think this cleanser is more suited to those with sensitive or dry skin, and want to use it to balance their skin after taking their make up off using a different product. Or someone who doesn’t wear any make up and just wants to lightly cleanse their face at the beginning and end of the day. It’s definitely gentle but it’s not effective at removing make up. If you want a more “all in one” product that will easily remove make up and hydrate your skin at the same time, this isn’t for you.
For me, I do like it when I’ve been working from home and just want something to lightly cleanse my skin at the end of the day. It’s light and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. When I wear make up I use something else or double cleanse as I find this still leaves my skin feeling grungy.
Have you tried The INKEY List’s Hyaluronic Cleanser, or anything else from the brand?
