Vera Wang Embrace Green Tea and Pear Blossom Review

Over the last year I have used up a couple of fragrances and I wanted something to replace them. I’m not really loyal to a particular brand or perfume. I don’t have a signature scent and I prefer to alternate depending on my mood.

I sort of blind bought Vera Wang’s Embrace Green Tea and Pear Blossom EDT. I like green tea fragrances and there was a sale on ASOS so I went for it. It comes in a small square shaped glass bottle with a silver cube shaped lid. I like how it is packaged, it’s very modern and minimal and I think that it reflects the scent inside.

Vera Wang Embrace Green Tea and Pear Blossom EDT is described as a “modern fresh floral scent” with an opening blend of pear blossom and green tea. The notes are:

Top notes: Pear Blossom, Bergamot, Green Tea
Heart notes: Freesia, Peony, Orange Blossom
Base notes: Musk, Cedar, Sandalwood

In the beginning I get the green tea and pear blossom come through, then the freesia and finally it dries down to a creamy sandalwood. It’s a fresh scent that I think works well in the spring / summer months when heavy scents can be cloying and suffocating.

Vera Wang’s Embrace Green Tea and Pear Blossom is a scent worn close to the body and that makes it ideal for the office or gatherings where you don’t know other people’s sensitivities. Being an eau de toilette, the longevity is not great. I typically get a couple of hours’ wear out if it, but I find if I spray onto my clothes it lasts longer.

All in all, this is a great floral tea scent for anyone looking for something a bit different. It is affordable, retailing at £25 for 30ml (although can often be found cheaper), yet it does not smell like a cheap perfume. Longevity could be better, but at £25 I’m not too upset about that. I’ve also seen people knock a few points off for weak sillage, but I prefer intimate scents.
