Antipodes Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser

I first bought the Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser a few years ago and I have liked it enough to repurchase it. Here is my review on it.

The Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser has all the goodness in terms of ingredients, including manuka honey and kiwifruit. Manuka honey has anti-bacterial qualities and also acts as an anti-inflammatory, so this is a good choice for those who suffer from acne or other skin problems and require a cleanser that wont further aggravate those issues.

Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser

The Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser as its name suggests, has a gel-like consistency. It’s a orange-brown colour and once applied to the skin, does not foam. I know some people have strong preferences when it comes to foaming cleansers – some people feel they leave skin more “clean” and others have a sensitivity to some foaming agents. I don’t have any preference but it is worth bearing in mind. The scent is fruity but not too overwhelming, I get hints of apple coming through when I use it.

The bottle is plastic and has a squeeze top – this is my only issue with the product. Sometimes it is hard to control how much comes out as it has a runny consistency, but its quite negligible, and I’d rather a company spent money on what goes into the product rather than the packaging.

The Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser leaves the skin feeling clean without feeling stripped. It feels soft and looks noticably brighter – which is what it advertised to do.

I don’t have acne-prone skin, but I think it would be a great product for those skin types, and I have heard people with acne-prone skin saying how it has lightened their scars or eased irritation. It’s also gentle enough if you have dry skin as the manuka honey naturally hydrates it.

The Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser retails for around £24.99 for 200ml. So it is not the cheapest cleanser around. It does have some good quality ingredients though, such as manuka honey, so in my opinion it is worth it. Also you can generally find it on offer on Lookfantastic and Feelunique.

Have you ever used the Antipodes Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser? What did you think of it?
