If you’re looking for the ultimate summer perfume – this might just be it. Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess, in the Eau Fraiche Skinscent version, is a beautiful warm tropical, solar floral, coconut perfume. It’s perfect for the warmer weather. Note though, this is the Eau Fraiche Skinscent. There are a few different versions of Bronze Goddess such as the eau de parfum, which smell a bit diffferent.
This smells like sun cream and pina coladas, it perfectly encapsulates that “holiday in a bottle” feeling. To be honest, I get very little floral in the traditional sense. It doesn’t smell like a bouquet of flowers. It’s a rich coconut with a splash of citrus to give it a zing and then amber in the base to warm it up. It’s definitely what I class as a “bright and sunny” perfume.
I wear this exclusively in the spring and summer time, when it’s warm outside, and even though you can wear perfume whenever, I’d feel out of place wearing this on colder, darker days. It’d be like bringing your bucket and spade to go and play on the pavement.
I think this can be worn during the day but it’s also rich enough to carry you through to evening wear. You may need to reapply though as longevity on this isn’t great. I typically get about three hours wear, which isn’t surprising considering this is a much lighter concentration than a eau de toilette or eau de parfum. Eau fraiche means “fresh water” and typically has between 1-3% concentration of fragrance oils.
Having said that, it’s such a beautiful scent I don’t mind reapplying. At £58 for 50ml it’s not super cheap, but it can be found on offer which makes having to spray it often more palatable.
Have you ever tried Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess?
