As a fair-skinned makeup enthusiast, I’ve made plenty of mistakes when it comes to blush – especially when experimenting with seasonal colours. From overly pigmented tangerine shades to bright fuchsia pinks, there’s very little I haven’t tried at some point.
Over time, I’ve realised that spring suits softer, fresher tones best – especially if you have fair skin, where brighter or deeper blush shades can easily look overpowering. If you prefer a very natural flush, Glossier Cloud Paint in Puff is a beautiful option for spring. This soft pink gives the cheeks that slightly rosy, just-been-outside look.
Because it’s a liquid formula, it blends easily into the skin and looks incredibly natural. I find it works especially well on lighter makeup days when I want my skin to look fresh rather than heavily made up.

MAC Dainty
MAC Dainty is one of those blushes that instantly makes your complexion look brighter. It’s a warm coral-pink with a slight shimmer that catches the light beautifully.

Stila Convertible Colour in Lilium
Lilium is a lovely soft dusty rose shade that gives a gentle, romantic flush to the cheeks. The cream formula melts into the skin and creates that natural “lit from within” effect.
I particularly like using this in spring when my makeup is lighter and I want everything to look soft and effortless.
The bonus point with this is that you can wear it on your lips as well if you wanted to be co-ordinated.

Illamasqua Frisson is one of the more classic pink shades in my collection. It has a cool, fresh tone that works beautifully with fair skin and gives the cheeks a healthy pop of colour.
