The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm

I’ve been using The Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm for a few weeks now and have been really enjoying it. I’m usually nonplussed about cleansers but thought this one deserved a review.

The Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm is a thick balm with oat kernel oil that melts away make up and hydrates the skin. It comes in a squeezy tube that’s effective at dispensing the product, and the slight texture helps with grip.

The Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm has a gel like texture that turns almost oil like once it warms up on the skin. It melts into the skin and lifts away any make up or daily grime. It is slightly gritty. I’m not sure if that’s from the oat kernels but it’s not too bothersome for me. I think it helps to gently exfoliate the skin slightly.

After use it leaves my skin feeling soft and well nourished. In fact, no cleanser has ever left my skin feeling as moisturised as this. I usually use this in the shower but if I’m cleansing before bed over the sink I make sure to thoroughly rinse my face after use.

I don’t have overly sensitive skin but I think this cleanser is especially gentle. Oat kernel extract is a renowned skincare hero ingredient for sensitive skin, If you feel like cleansers normally strip your skin and leave it feeling tight and dry you should definitely consider trying this.

At £12 for 150ml, it’s no wonder the Oat Cleansing Balm is one of The Inkey List’s most popular products.

What cleanser do you normally use?
